Staffing structure

Nunthorpe Nurseries has a management team each with twenty years experience in the childcare sector. A highly skilled group manager who is supported by strong senior staff and a team of dedicated professionals.

The nurseries are required to adhere to Ofsted Welfare Requirements with regard to staff:child ratios. They are as follows:

Age            Ratio (staff:child)
Under 2                    1:3
2 – 3                         1:4
3 - 5                         1:8

We have contingency arrangements in place to ensure that staff:child ratios are maintained to cover emergencies and unexpected staff absences.

All staff in our nurseries undergo reference checks and clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau. All staff are then required to complete a mandatory induction period in order to enable them to fully understand their role, to familiarise themselves with our Policies and Procedures and with the daily routines of the nursery.
