Our aim is to provide excellent quality care for children in an environment that is stimulating, caring, safe and exciting providing balanced curriculum which covers all area of development giving each child the best possible start in life.

Working towards the national curriculum and following varied areas of learning within the Foundation Stage we aim to enable all children to develop to the full.

Personal Social and Emotional Aims

To encourage and enable children to function independently and to take responsibility for their own actions, develop self-awareness, self-worth and self-esteem. To work independently and to co-operate with others:- alone, one to one, small group, large group. To encourage and provide opportunity for the children to share, take turns, express their feelings, behave in appropriate ways and support and encourage others.

Communication, Language and Literacy Aims

To develop language skills through practical activities and provide the foundation for literacy and communication. To provide opportunities for the children to enjoy books, become readers and writers, interact in role play and adult led activities.

Mathematical Aims

To enable and encourage children to develop mathematical skills through practical activities and acquisition of mathematical language, to provide foundations for the numeracy and mathematical language, to provide the foundations for the numeracy and mathematical thinking.

Knowledge and Understanding of the Worlds Aims

To provide opportunities to enable the children to enjoy experimenting and finding out, observing and asking questions about the world we live, to provide a foundation for the environmental, scientific, historical and technological to develop, design/technology skills.

Physical Aims

To encourage children to develop positive attitudes towards a healthy and active way of life by providing access to a wide range of activities with and without adult support indoors and outdoors. To encourage children to develop their fine motor skills and hand/eye co-ordination.

Creative Aims

To encourage and enable the children to enjoy developing physical and perceptual skills, imagination and communication skills in order to find disciplined and creative ways of expressing ideas and feelings to illustrate their own and other peoples experiences.
